The Men’s Forum
The Men’s Forum is Al Tariq’s open weekly gathering for substantive conversations about faith, responsibility, relationships, struggle, and becoming.
At its center is the Islamic tradition. The Forum provides an accessible point of engagement with Islamic knowledge and brings that tradition into conversation with the realities Muslim men are actually navigating.
The goal is not simply to discuss important issues or accumulate more information. It is to make Islamic knowledge a source of guidance and transformation, shaping how we understand ourselves, how we respond to the circumstances of our lives, and the men we are becoming.
A Rhythm of Lifelong Refinement
Four areas that shape the Forum.
Conviction
Prophetic Guidance
Learn the way.
Islam gives us more than principles. It gives us a model. Through the life, character, teachings, and example of the Prophet Muhammad, men encounter a vision of how faith is actually lived. Prophetic guidance helps us think about worship, character, relationships, responsibility, hardship, leadership, and the ordinary decisions of everyday life
Disciplined Practice
Live what you learn.
Knowledge must become practice. This area focuses on the disciplines through which faith takes root in a man’s life: worship, Qur’an, remembrance, habits, restraint, consistency, and the work of refining character. The aim is not simply knowing what should be done, but developing the discipline to live it.
Purposeful Living
Carry Islam into life.
Refinement must eventually reach the life a man is actually living. Purposeful Living brings Islamic guidance into the responsibilities of adulthood: marriage, fatherhood, desire, anger, work, money, health, friendship, stress, generational patterns, major transitions, service, and legacy.
How the Forum Works
A balanced rhythm, not isolated lectures.
One gathering may strengthen conviction. Another may explore the Prophetic example. Another may focus on worship, character, or personal discipline. Another may address a practical challenge men are facing in their families, work, relationships, or inner lives.
- Strengthen conviction.
- Deepen Prophetic orientation.
- Build disciplined practice.
- Apply Islamic guidance to the areas of life that require refinement.
